Thank you for considering making a gift to the SAISD Foundation to benefit education in San Antonio's urban core.  SAISD educates over 54,000 students in over 90 schools, so your gift will have a significant impact in our city!   With donated funds, the Foundation is able to support educational excellence and innovation beyond what state, federal and local tax dollars can provide.  Individuals, alumni groups, businesses and organizations can make tax deductible gifts to the Foundation for general purposes or for restricted use to benefit a particular school or program.  The Foundation has also developed a team of experts who can assist individuals with planned giving.  Donations can be made here on-line, or feel free to contact us regarding a giving opportunity that fits your interests.  Because of our partnership with the District, 99 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to our schools and our students.

Employee Giving - Payroll Deduction Now Available

 

We are proud to announce that SAISD employee giving to The Foundation has increased for the 4th year in a row with 1,264 employees making pledges for 2013 through the Combined School United Way Campaign!  For employees who were not a part of the United Way giving, you can still make a gift to the SAISD Foundation through SAISD payroll deduction today or anytime.  Simply download your Payroll Deduction Form to submit to the Payroll Department or link to it off the employee links website for SAISD.  100% of all SAISD employee gifts go right back into our schools through grants and school gifts.  Just imagine what we could do if all of our over 7,000 employees gave!

 

Purchasing a Car?  Your Purchase Can Give Back

 

The SAISD Foundation has partnered with Cavender Toyota and Red McCombs so that when you purchase a car, students in SAISD benefit!  At Cavender Toyota on NW Loop 410, with any new car purchase, just mention the SAISD Foundation and $100 will be donated to us on your behalf - it is that easy!  In addition, they will give you employee pricing just for mentioning the SAISD Foundation.  At all Red McCombs dealerships, the McCombs Family will donate $100 with the purchase of any car from any of their dealerships and additional discounts apply for SAISD employees.  Click here for additional details on the McCombs Partnership in Education program.  Don't forget to mention us so that your purchases benefit SAISD students.  Any employee or community member can be a part of this program by mentioning our name.

 

Annual Fund Campaign

 

Our Annual  Fund Campaign runs from September 15th - December 15th.  The campaign kicks off with a focus on SAISD employees and ends with a focus on individual donors throughout the community through the year end.   Click here to view our 2011 appeal letter from Pat Frost and Bill Greehey.  Considering investing in the students in SAISD and becoming part of our growing circle of donors?  Print and mail the pledge card or hit the donate key below to make your investment.  Although the campaign focus is fall, gifts are accepted throughout the year.

  

Gifts In Memory of and In Honor of

 

Gifts can be made In Honor of an alumnus, teacher, administrator, employee or a person who is passionate about education.  Honoring a person around the holidays, for a birthday, or for a significant anniversary date of employment or graduation is an excellent way to give a gift with meaning.  Certificates will be mailed to the person being honored and the donor can be recognized or do so anonymously.  Gifts may also be made In Memory of to honor someone special. For In Memory of gifts, certificates can be mailed to family members.  Please download the attached form to make one of these gifts or contact us for more information.

 

Foundation Announces Dever Legacy Society

 

The Dever Legacy Society has been created to honor the gift  Douglas J.
