Apply for Grants

There are three types of grants that SAISD employees can apply for from the SAISD Foundation.  Funds to support these investments in our classrooms and schools are raised annually from the SAISD Foundation Inspire Awards, the Golf Fore Excellence Tournament, and from SAISD employee giving.

New Teacher Grants

  • Open to teachers new to SAISD
  • Award: $100 voucher
  • Applications open August 15th and must be received by August 31st
  • Awarded at New Teacher Open Houses Sept. 5th OR 11th from 3:30-6:00pm
  • Approximately $10,000 awarded annually

Mini-Grants

  • Open to SAISD employees
  • Award: Up to $500
  • Applications open October 1st and are due October 31st
  • Grants are awarded in cycles from November through January
  • Approximately $70,000 awarded annually

  • Award: Up to $5,000
  • Application process open January 1st and are due the last workday in March
  • Grants are awarded in August of the following academic year
  • Approximately $150,000 awarded annually
