[et_pb_section][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]We are delighted to highlight 4 REALTOR® partners who are supporting students in San Antonio ISD (SAISD) through their businesses.

Lynn Knapik of Lynn Knapik Real Estate LLC made a $300 donation to the SAISD Scholarship Fund in the summer of 2020 to honor new homeowners. The couple had recently purchased a home in the San Antonio ISD boundaries and one of them is a professor at UTSA. Given their value of higher education, they were touched by the gift in their names to benefit the scholarships funded by the SAISD Foundation to support post-secondary education each year.

Two additional gifts were being made in April & May 2021. These gifts will assist the SAISD Foundation in meeting scholarship needs for students. To learn more about SAISD Foundation Scholarships click here.

Sara Trautner of Vecino Realty, LLC lives in the district and believes in supporting students in her community. Her August 2020 gift of $500 will support a scholarship for a student at Highlands High School in the Spring of 2021, Vecino’s own neighborhood school. In addition, her entire team of Realtors® has committed to making a donation to the SAISDFoundation each time a sale is made within the boundaries of San Antonio ISD, or if a district employee buys or sells a home with Vecino anywhere in the city.

Cathy Naiser of The Naiser Real Estate Group at Keller Williams City View made a $900 donation to the SAISD Foundation in Spring 2020 honoring three clients she had sales with in the past year who are educators in SAISD. With her donation, we created three grant awards for her to present at their respective school staff meetings for use by the campus. The SAISD staff were extremely appreciative of the gift and students benefited!

James Duerr of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices – Hill Country Properties has announced his intent to partner with the SAISD Foundation in a donation the amount of $200 when he represents an educator, employee or friend of SAISD. As a former, board member for a community college, he proudly supports education. James adds, “In addition to the donation for every house bought or sold to a San Antonio Independent School District employee, educator or a friend of SAISD. I will make a $200 donation for each referral to a home buyer that is moving anywhere in Texas, the United States or World-Wide that results in a purchase of a home from a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Realtor. I personally interview the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices realtor before I refer your to that Realtor ”.

Thank you to our generous REALTOR® partners making a big impact by giving back to support students and teachers in SAISD! We welcome new partners who want to give back through the SAISD Foundation by designating gifts at closing.

Ways to give include:

Client is an SAISD Employee: As a REALTOR®, you can make a gift to the SAISD Foundation to benefit students in any of the 90+ schools SAISD and the school of the employee’s choice. We can award a grant in the company’s name for the school of the new homeowner or seller’s choice. Gifts can be made as sales occur or made at one time representing sales over the prior year. You can just cut one check, and we will do the rest! We will also invite you to the live or virtual presentation of the grant award.

Home sale is in the San Antonio ISD boundaries: As a REALTOR®, you can make a gift to the SAISD Foundation in the name of new homeowner/s or seller/s to be directed toward student scholarships for higher education, teacher grants, or general programming to benefit SAISD students. The homeowner can choose a grant to the SAISD neighborhood school affiliated with the sale address if desired.
